Back Into The Closet

Along with any notions of nonBiblical sex, America is packing away its dreams and memories of a liberal nation. Also into hiding and whispers go any thought of rebellion against stolen elections and a corrupt republic. It's housecleaning time and the jazzoLOG sites have become as messy as those storefront Democratic headquarters in every town, now returned to haunted vacancy. I'll be consolidating and deleting some of the articles that have appeared, because cyberspace just ain't infinite. Besides, Democrats certainly need practice in organization and calm judgment. As a result, some comments may be removed. If you wish to save any you added over the past few months, please do so during the next week.

Tomorrow a House of Representatives Judiciary Subcommittee is conducting a forum in Columbus, Ohio, in an effort to discover if any factual wrongdoing was done in voting and tabulation procedures in this state. There also is a recount beginning here, with a plan in place should the result turn out differently than what will be considered by the Electoral College. Also tomorrow a lawsuit may be filed at last in Ohio that has been promised for a couple weeks; at this point I'm not sure what it will be about. Message boards on fraud in the American election continue to grow and are loud and angry day and night, but real facts about alleged crimes are fading into conspiracy theories.

Thanks to my dear friend Robert Whealey, Emeritus Associate Professor of History at Ohio University, I can close with this list of facts about our election for your consideration~~~

This message probably will be mostly links. It strikes me that what is going on in this state is of incredible importance to the nation and the world. Yet trying to get a picture of it is enormously difficult and time-consuming. Go to Google News and search the splash page in vain. Try putting in "Ohio recount" and the stuff is old, tame, and more concerned with Washington State. This is because the media just isn't reporting it. I'm getting better coverage about us from Seattle than anywhere else...but of course the gubernatorial race there is driving home to those folks just how significant an honest election gets to be.

And so I make the rounds of a dozen sites that usually keep on top of things, mostly because their participants are directly involved in making the news themselves. Bloggers also are networking to share information and then get it out to our lists and online. (History shall record bloggers as the new Minute Men and Women!) I also joined 2 Yahoo Groups of the dozens formed about the election: CASE_OH and ElectionFraud2004. CASE_OH members are posting about a thousand messages a week, night and day, but it's Susan Truitt's Group and many are involved in the Recount itself and the demonstrations. ElectionFraud2004 is calmer and of course keeping track of Florida and New Mexico along with Ohio.

Something that did make the news late yesterday afternoon (at least on WOSU out of Columbus) was that the Cliff Arnebeck/Jesse Jackson challenge to the presidential election in this state was thrown out by Ohio's Supreme Court chief justice. Trying to get details on the story initially was hopeless, but as usual the Associated Press soon picked it up. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20041216/D87109CO0.html It looks like a technicality, and so the groups can refile. Apparently Arnebeck made the mistake of trying to clarify the case by referring to the re-election of the chief justice himself (heh heh). The judge said you can't question 2 elections in the same case. He did NOT add, "Especially my election." However, as Bob Fertik points out at his blog, this trivial action "drags out the clock some more, and brings us closer to a court shutdown over Christmas..." http://blog.democrats.com/blog/6

The case itself is a catchall for any number of voting "irregularities," fraud and suppression. Of major importance the last couple days was news coming out of Hocking County. As Michigan Representative John Conyers tells it in a letter to the FBI, on "December 10, Michael Barbian, Jr., a representative of Triad GSI unilaterally sought and obtained access to the voting machinery and records in Hocking County, Ohio, modified the computer tabulator, learned which precinct was planned to be the subject of the initial test recount and made further alterations based on that information, and advised the election officials how to manipulate the machinery so that the preliminary hand recount matched the machine count." http://votefraudnews.com/news/docs/conyers_fbi_1.html Triad is one of the companies that makes the machines we had to use in Ohio. Possibly a number of laws were violated. A deputy director of the Board of Elections in Hocking County has submitted a signed affidavit to the House Judiciary Committee, which now is calling for an investigation of the election.

At this point the Kerry/Edwards campaign started edging closer to full-fledged involvement. Green Party Candidate David Cobb brought forward the Hocking material to Conyers on Tuesday, and Wednesday Kerry's attorney here wrote a letter to Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell requesting investigation. But more important, the letter asks that the "tabulating system" on those machines not be used in the Recount in that county, in other counties where Triad was conducting "maintenance" since the election, and maybe everywhere. Kerry/Edwards wants the machines impounded. http://rawstory.com/exclusives/kerry_1216.php If the Recount in this state is "compromised," the sound even the media must report will be a screeching halt. And that should include consideration by the Congress of Electoral College results and the Inauguration itself. But we shall see.

Besides RawStory.com and VoteFraudNews.com, I recommend the Green Party site as well for updates on all this through the day. Cobb's site is doing very well in reporting county by county progress in the Recount. http://www.votecobb.org/ I know a number of us have become increasingly impressed with him. Deomocrats will do well to include him in future deliberations to redesign their political party.

There is one more matter to intrigue your weekend. Once again Brad Friedman has done the investigative journalism the newspapers used to do. His The Brad Blog has been upgrading and soon will be able to tolerate the volume of his entries, plus our comments and all the traffic the site is getting. http://www.bradblog.com/ In the meantime though, Brad Blog Too has the action...and what he's come up with this time makes the mind reel. You remember Clint Curtis who developed the "vote-rigging software" for Yang Enterprises (on commission from a Florida Republican congressman). One of the employees Curtis mentioned in his affidavit to the House Judiciary Committee is Henry Nee (a/k/a Hai Lin Nee) whose expertise is "wiretapping modules." According to Brad, who always does this kind of homework, Nee pleaded guilty last October to charges related to attempted shipments of Hellfire Anti-Tank missile parts to China. He was caught in a 4-year sting operation by Immigration and Customs. (Even though there is talk of this guy being an "illegal alien," Nee walked with a hundred dollar fine and 3 years probation.) http://www.bradblogtoo.blogspot.com/ The pure conjecture strikes me that what if characters like Nee get access to vote-rigging software and send that stuff to China too---or elsewhere? I know a number of people around the world who were very interested in casting a vote in our presidential election, by any means possible. Anybody know where you can buy that software?
